Tinnitus Causes
Tinnitus isn’t a disease, it’s a symptom arising from an underlying condition.  Some causes of tinnitus include blockages of the ear, ear infections, injuries to the inner ear, taking certain medications, and aging.

Tips on Dealing with Tinnitus
Living with Tinnitus can be difficult, however, there are a few ways you can learn to live with or possibly eliminate tinnitus.

Your diet can play a role in your tinnitus.  Some suffers discover certain foods that affect them, and when they eliminate them from their diet, experience some relief.   A few foods and drinks that may affect your tinnitus are caffeinated drinks, aspirin, salty foods, and alcohol.

If you smoke, it’s time to quit.  Smoking narrows the blood cells that bring oxygen to the sensory cells of your ears.  This can make the ringing in your early louder than normal.

Practice distraction.  Listening to soft music or white noise like an ocean or maybe even nature sounds can help mask the ringing in your ears.

Use hearing aids designed to help tinnitus.  We offer hearing aid technology that creates customized comforting sound stimulus that you hear to take your focus off the ringing.  Together we can fine-tune the stimulus to soothe the irritating sounds that you hear.

If you are living with Tinnitus we can help.  Get in touch with us today for a free hearing assessment.
