What to Expect at Your Hearing Assessment – Part 3

The Hearing Aid Evaluation

You’re hearing test is complete, and your results have been explained to you by your hearing healthcare professional. The next step on your journey is a hearing aid evaluation. At New Hope Hearing, every consultation begins with a hearing aid demonstration. The hearing aids will be programmed according to the results obtained during your hearing test. Your hearing healthcare professional will enter your results into the programming software which will generate targets for programming the hearing aids. The hearing aids will then be fine-tuned based on your perception of the sound quality. Once the hearing aids have been programmed comfortably for you, your hearing healthcare professional will recommend the best product for you. Finding the appropriate hearing aid is dependent on the degree and type of your hearing loss, your lifestyle, and your personal preferences. They will discuss your options regarding the best style of hearing aid and level of technology that is suitable for you. Your hearing healthcare professional will inform you about any accessories that are available with the product you have chosen and which ones would be best for you. Most importantly, every hearing aid purchased comes with a risk free 90 day manufacturer trial period. During this trial period you can experiment with the product chosen for you, or you can decide to try a new product all together. At New Hope Hearing we are committed to work with you to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your investment.
